Lu\u00eds Vieira has been the Principal Horn of the Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Portuguesa since 2015. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ao longo da sua carreira, foi convidado a integrar prestigiadas orquestras como a Berliner Philharmoniker, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Orquesta Nacional de Espa\u00f1a, Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica do Porto Casa da M\u00fasica e Ensemble Divino Sospiro, sob a direc\u00e7\u00e3o de maestros como Sir Simon Rattle, Semyon Bychkov, Valery Gergiev, Herbert Blomstedt, Christian Thielemann, Gustavo Dudamel, Riccardo Chailly e Andris Nelsons. Com estas orquestras, teve a oportunidade de tocar em algumas das mais prestigiadas salas de concerto do mundo, tais como a Berliner Philharmonie, Philharmonie de Paris, Concertgebouw (Amesterd\u00e3o), Royal Albert Hall (Londres), Tonhalle (Zurique), entre outras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his academic training, he was a member of orchestras such as The World Orchestra, the Lucerne Festival Academy, the Schleswig-Holstein Youth Orchestra, and the Orquesta Joven de la Sinf\u00f3nica de Galicia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He completed his Bachelor\u2019s degree in 2009 at the Castelo Branco School of Applied Arts (ESART), in the class of Professor Paulo Guerreiro, later continuing his studies with Abel Pereira, Eric Terwilliger, and Sarah Willis. Between 2011 and 2013, he attended the Reina Sof\u00eda School of Music (Escuela Superior de M\u00fasica Reina Sof\u00eda) in Madrid, studying under Radovan Vlatkovi\u0107, where he received the award for Best Student of the French Horn Chair from Queen Sof\u00eda of Spain. In 2015, he earned his Master\u2019s degree in Performance from the Zurich University of the Arts (Z\u00fcrcher Hochschule der K\u00fcnste, Switzerland), under the guidance of the same professor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2011, he won the Pr\u00e9mio Jovens M\u00fasicos and in 2013 was a finalist in the Citt\u00e0 di Porcia International Music Competition <\/p>\n\n\n\n
